Mauritius to host World Hindi Conference

 

In news:
11th World Hindi Conference will be held in Mauritius from 18-20 August, 2018. It will be organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Mauritian Government.

 

Important facts:

The decision to organize the 11th World Hindi Conference in Mauritius was held in September 2015 in the 10th World Hindi Conference held in Bhopal, India.

The first World Hindi Conference was organized in Nagpur in the year 1975.

Such 10 conferences have been organized in different parts of the world.
Ministry of External Affairs is the Nodal Ministry for the 11th World Hindi Conference.

Various committees have been set up for the systematic and uninterrupted event of the conference.
The main theme of the conference is “Hindi World and Indian Culture”.

The venue of the conference is the “Swami Vivekananda International Conference Center” Pie, Mauritius.

Many exhibitions related to the development of Hindi language will be set at the conference venue.

According to tradition, during the conference, Hindi scholars from India and other countries will be honored with “World Hindi Honor” for their special contribution in the field of Hindi.
